Singer Songwriter Showcase in Santa Monica Next Friday
For all of my L.A. peeps, I've got a show next Friday that I'm hosting at the Talking Stick. It's going to be a monthly singer/songwriter showcase where I perform along with several other selected original acts. It was a lot of fun last month, will be great this week, and also next month. You can find all the details on MySpace at myspace.com/johnclinebell.
Over 7K Plays in Last Month on YouTube
Thank you to each and every one of you who has dropped me a comment and checked out my vids online at youtube.com/johnclinebell. Momentum is definitely growing with that. I've got over 30 vids now of new originals and popular covers, which have received over seven thousand plays in the last month! Please check out the channel if you can, rate some vids, leave me a cover request... I'll dedicate it to you!
Windows Media Player Stomping Grounds Skin
I've got some great friends in the web design industry, one of whom went out of his way to create a Windows Media Player skin themed with graphics from Stomping Grounds. If anyone would like to have it, I'd be happy to email it to you. Just send me a message to clinebell@gmail.com and it's yours!
International Pop Overthrow Festival
Something to put on your radar is that I've been invited to play at this year's International Pop Overthrow Festival in Los Angeles. Right now, it's set for somewhere in late July, early August. I'll let you know as soon as I do regarding when my slot is scheduled. Here's a site with more info on the festival: http://www.internationalpopover
Hula Chair Comedy Videos
Finally, on a humorous note, I actually purchased a Hula Chair for $300. Am I insane? I guess a little bit, but my friends at work (yes, I still have to work a day job) and I thought it would be hilarious to put some comedy sketches together around this absurd, made-for-tv exercise product. You can find the first of them at Funny Or Die: http://www.funnyordie.com
Also check out the mix we did of us sitting on the stupid thing to 50 Cent: http://youtube.com/watch?v
That's it for now, hope to see you out on the Third Street Promenade soon :)
Cheers,
John
